"What Life Asks of Us" by David Brooks

a very good piece in the nytimes ~ i find it poignant, humbling & optimistic, almost to the point of being romantic. interestingly, it reminds me of confucianism & the more traditional chinese values of my upbringing. happy reading.

I like David Brooks and I plan to read this article during my next period of procrastination.

I actually had to chance to see him and E.J. Dionne at UNC last fall when they came to talk about the Presidential election and the candidates. Brooks seemed to have a good sense of humor and I really liked him, even though he was the "conservative" for the debate. Then again, he does write for the NYT.
